Hawaiian Turkey Brine

A tropical-inspired brine with pineapple juice and soy sauce for a unique turkey flavor.

Ingredients

  • 1 gallon water
  • 2 cups pineapple juice
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon ginger powder
  • 1 tablespoon black peppercorns

Instructions

  • In a large pot, combine water, pineapple juice, soy sauce, and brown sugar. Heat until dissolved.
  • Add garlic powder, ginger powder, and black peppercorns. Stir well.
  • Let the brine cool completely.
  • Submerge turkey in the brine and refrigerate for 12-24 hours.
  • Rinse turkey thoroughly before cooking.
